Prior to joining KIIT,he was the Director, Indian Institute of Bank Management (IIBM), Guwahati.A former Professor and Chairperson of Human Resource Management atIIM Indore, he also served with distinction at IIM Lucknow and NITIE,Mumbai, and with leading organizations like SAIL and the ESSAR Group.Professor Pattanayak's presentation on Team Building and Leadership,based on the Oscar nominated Hindi movie Lagaan at the 62nd AnnualConvention of International Council of Psycho-logists from 3rd to 6thAugust 2004, was highly appreciated.
