Troy Orphan Asylum: A Pictorial History

There are few institutions in America that can claim that they have been servicing the needs of indigent children for over 185 years. Yet, Vanderheyden, formerly known as Vanderheyden Hall and before that the Troy Orphan Asylum, has been doing just that. Vanderheydens rich history of serving the needs of young children goes unmatched in the Capital District of New York. To celebrate the 185 years of service as an incorporated institution, this book gives a photo history of the orphans who were residents of the Troy Orphan Asylum from 1833 onward. This is a companion version of the 600-page Vanderheyden: History of The Troy Orphan Asylum 1833-2018 by the author.
