The Ruling Passion

Singer Serena Morrell and composer/lyricist Joss Buchanan are managed by the Machiavellian impresario Harding Wetherby. After a violent quarrel with Harding and Joss, Serena loses her voice and breaks her leg simultaneously, and her enforced retirement causes her to reconsider her life. Serena bitterly regrets her marriage breakup to cosmetic surgeon, James, not finding happiness in the stardom shes attained, nor in her stifling and unhappy relationship with Harding. Will Serena succeed in getting her husband and family back? Will she mend her damaged relationship with best friend Joss, and together succeed in triumphing over the tyrannical Wetherby who vindictively sets out to destroy their careers?
