The Release

This book contains a collective of poems dedicated to self-worth, beauty, and strength. Each poem in this book is written with a dedication to building on these three values, especially for young black men and women. These poems highlight the emotions that come with releasing things that no longer serve you. These poems draw out emotions of anger, guilt, and shame with the intention of reframing them coming from a place of self-love.
