The Purifying Flame

A collection of poetry around pain, healing, grief, and connection. It was written in the process of journeying through eating disorder recovery, dealing with unearthing past trauma, and finding a way to balance a new, healthy self in a world that is so often off-balance. There are love letters in these pages, struggles, sorrows, angers, and a general metamorphosis of the soul as each poem honors someone or something. It tells the story of the place of fire in our lives, that we should never settle for who we are now, but embrace the journey to the better version of ourselves that is waiting just around the corner and just through the next portal.
