The New Moon

A Voyage to Paraguay-Roux (1835) is a parody of scientific reportage which includes the description of fanciful island civilizations in a style not unlike that of Lewis Carroll. The Aerial Journey (1859) is the dream-like narrative of a visit to the various major and minor planets of the Solar System, including strange "imaginary" planets more bizarre and complex than any other work of interplanetary fiction.
