The Indian Folktales

Folktales have been an important part of Indian culture since ancient times. This book, The Indian Folktales: An Exploration of Indias Oral Folklore Traditions, seeks to explore the history and significance of Indian folktales and the many ways in which they have shaped Indian culture and society.

This book is intended to serve as an introduction to the rich history and culture of Indian folktales for readers who are new to the subject. I have also conducted extensive field research in India, including attending storytelling events, interviewing folklorists, and visiting locations associated with the production of Indian folktales. Through this research, I hope to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the Indian folktale industry and its various components.
