When Dr Watson fails to return home after responding to an urgent medical call, Sherlock Holmes senses foul play.

His friends disappearance leads Holmes from the elegant townhouses of Marylebone to the isolated cottages of Surrey, following a trail grown cold after fifteen years.

With only a dropped journal as his first clue, Holmes must unravel a mystery where nothing is as it seems. Why would someone target the loyal doctor? What connection does this have to a patient who died under his care years ago?
