The book is the product of my life-time contribution towards Public Engagement with Science for over 50 years. I have been occupied with commonly run programs offering enormous range of activities to increase engagement with science for over five decades. The book is a hands-on guide for those broadly interested in the craft of Science Engagement and Communication. It is a precise introductory text on Science Engagement with reflections upon a broad range of tightly interwoven fabric of issues. The book makes a valiant attempt to practice Science Outreach with insights into the relationship between science and society. It explores the value of Public Engagement with Science in the wider scientific and societal context. The book looks into various rationales for encouraging greater Public Understanding of Science and research. It highlights the issue of Public Awareness of Science using a wide range of interactive hands-on activities. Content in this book may aid different members of scientific community in different ways towards the goal of Public appreciation of Science. While the contents remain mostly relevant today, the general patterns explored in this book mostly remain true. All concepts and ideas of Popularization of Science are lucidly explained to make it an easy read.
