Raising Sky: A Roe Deers Year

Based on true facts, Raising Sky is the story of a roe deer (called Sable) bringing up her fawn (Sky) on the rich, fertile lands of the Dorset countryside. Follow them through an entire year and experience how they overcome the many perils and pitfalls of life in the wild. Delve into their hidden world and see how they adapt to the seasonal changes in the landscape, and the other animals they share their home with. Discover the relationships they form with the other deer in the area, including Skys father and Sables previous offspring. At the heart of this story though, lies the deep bond that existed between mother and fawn, and ultimately, why it had to be broken. Its a true story that will touch you emotionally, and will linger in your memory long after youve put this book down. You will never think about deer in the same way again.
