Finally, it is one of the main sources of foreign exchange, contributing 4.9 billion Ugandan shillings (1.88 billion US dollars or 1.4 billion euros in August 2013) to Ugandas GDP during of the 2012-13 financial year. Tourism contributes to the fight against poverty in Uganda, particularly through the employment of Ugandan nationals as drivers, guides, secretaries, accountants, etc. Tourism can also be used to promote arts and crafts and traditional clothing. The main tourist attractions in Uganda are the national game parks, game reserves, traditional sites and natural rainforests.
