Not What I Expected

Sometimes you have to be your own hero!

Fourth grader, Jiyah is nervous to go to her classmate, Manus birthday party. Its only the start of the school year but it just seems like parties arent as much fun these days. Everyone just goes into their usual groups of friends and the feeling of a great class is gone. So many kids are too worried about looking cool too ... especially her two friends from last year, Jane and Young (if they even are her friends anymore) who only want to take selfies.

Instead of being awkward and alone Jiyah pushes herself to talk to kids she doesnt usually hang out with at school. And when she gets an idea for a game that everyone can play together, she wonders if just maybe getting everyone to have fun again is her secret superpower.
