My Asian Summer: Backpacking Asia with a Five Year Old

Laura Pauley - the inspirational author of My Summer Bump has returned with the second awe-inspiring chapter in her extraordinary, thrilling and unpredictable life.

Five years after the release of her first book, Laura decided to throw caution to the wind taking her charming and extremely cheeky five-year-old daughter; Summer-Ruby, backpacking around Asia. This tale documents their action-packed and adventuruous journey with every: sleeper train, bamboo raft, Tuk-tuk, bus and boat ride it took for them to venture across: Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

With an unlikely and often testing travel companion on-board, Laura offers an entertaining and refreshing travelogue that follows the unusual trio on their journey through bustling cities, remote jungles and idyllic islands; living with locals, working as elephant and bear keepers and visiting numerous temples and orphanages.

Compassionate, curious and unafraid to reveal her true thoughts and feelings; Laura documents stories of those she met along the way; providing an unexpected and thought-provoking insight into the wonderful and adventurous world of travelling!

Laura simply trusted her wit and impeccable sense of humour to safely carry her around Asia. Just think: if Laura can do it with a small child in tow, anybody can. Including you...
