Growing Up in the 1940s

Growing Up in the 1940s includes 50 illustrated short stories, sprung from the pages of the authors diaries. Most of the stories take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and incorporate historical facts and sociological commentary on such subjects as baseball, cigarettes, coal furnaces, garbage, Girl Scouts, holidays, ice boxes, love, medicine, milkmen, movies, politics, radio, religion, transportation, and World War II.
