Gradiva - A Pompeiian Fancy

This antiquarian volume comprises Wilhelm Jensens 1902 novel, Grandiva. First published in the "Neue Freie Presse", this text was inspired by an eponymous Roman bas-relief and would become the foundation for Sigmund Freuds seminal 1907 work Delusion and Dream. Freuds copy of this book can be found on the wall of his study in the Freud Museum at 20 Maresfield Gardens, London.
