Giving up is no alternative

Quite often A. David Brown had intended to finally consult a doctor. The professional stress on an English teacher at a private language school threatened to get out of hand. However, the first stroke beat him to it. After that nothing was the same as it was before. A long period of suffering began with many unreasonable demands. However, Brown did not resign, he became creative. He took part in and, also, directed plays. He wrote poetry and short stories. He did not even let himself be stopped from traveling, he visited fascinating Cornwall and flew twice to his homeland, the USA. At times factual, at times anecdotal, A. David Brown tells about his tribulations and his difficulties of rehabilitation, but also about his many supporters, above all, his wife and all the lovely things which he could enjoy despite his misery.
