GIS Approach for Tourism Development

This book entitled "G.I.S.Approach for Tourism Development: Pune District Maharashtra" is a case study of research project carried out in Pune District of Maharashtra, India.Major discipline of the book is Geography. Tourism is one of the most important branch of Geography deals with tourists. Geographical Information System (G.I.S.) is a new technique which can collect, capture, storage, retrieve and analyzes of spatial as well as non spatial data. Present book is divided into five chapters with figures, photo plates and case studies. Tourist places of Pune District and G.I.S.analysis of tourist places are the two core chapters which correlate the Tourism and G.I.S. for employment generation, development and planning.Photo plates are used to view and study the information of tourist places. To generate up to date Tourist Information System is the prime aim of this study. This book helps to know about the traditional methods of Tourism development and planning can be carried out with G.I.S.techniques.
