Frankenstein

"When falsehood can look so like the truth, who can assure themselves of certain happiness?" Frankenstein or "The Modern Prometheus" is the first novel penned by Mary Shelley at the age 19 and relates to a scientist who learns how to reanimate flesh and creates a being in the likeness of man out of body parts taken from the dead man. Written as a warning against the "over-reaching" of modern man and the Industrial Revolution, the novel has given rise to many questions which can be linked to todays culture with a message that the extent to which man collects knowledge can ultimately backfire and fail to produce any good outcomes.
