Economic Geography

Economic geography, or commercial geography as it is often termed, is the study of the influence of mans physical environment on his activities in obtaining the necessities of life and material goods of all kinds. It treats of commerce as affected by geographical factors, and not only gives a reasoned account of how these factors operate in the production, transport and exchange of commodities, but also considers the settlement of lands and the economic problems arising from the distribution of the different races of mankind.
