Draconfyx: A Fable of Addiction

Teenager Minerva ("Minnie") Neels older sister, Luna, has gone missing along with her wild rebel of a boyfriend, Jem Harks. When Minnie joins forces with retired history professor Dr. Augusten Vanover to find Luna, she discovers a terrifying supernatural underworld populated by the Users--nightmarish creatures who enslave the souls of troubled youth by plying them with the Elixir. This horribly addictive potion is manufactured in Craxton Abbey, the stronghold of Count Draconfyx, who seeks to control the world with his ever-growing population of Users. After infiltrating the Abbey, will Minnie and Professor Vanover stand a chance at rescuing Luna, now a User herself? Author C.R. May has respectfully borrowed from Bram Stokers classic vampire tale, DRACULA, to address the plague of drug addiction from the viewpoint of both victims and those who try to help them. His diorama-based illustrations add a haunting accent to this unique, timely retelling of the battle between Good and Evil.
