Dear Enemy

Dear Enemy by Jean Webster, published in 1915, is the sequel to her popular novel Daddy-Long-Legs. The story is told through a series of letters written by Sallie McBride, who takes over as superintendent of the John Grier orphanage, the same institution from the first novel. Sallie corresponds with various characters, including her "enemy" Dr. Robin MacRae, with whom she initially clashes but later forms a deeper connection.
