Couldve Been Champion of the World

If you desperately needed money and discovered you had an unbelievable talent to fight, wouldnt you capitalize on that ability? Owen Evans, a quiet young farmers son and passionate rugby player had the chance when he met Solly Goldstein. They came to know each other under inconceivable circumstances, yet a bond was formed between the Welsh farm boy and the 50-year-old M.D. of a negligible East end boxing gym. Solly was a man held in high regard in this part of London and had a love for pugilism instilled in him by his late father, the old man that was founder and sadly missed soul of Goldstein Promotions. In his memory Solly longed for that fighter that would be his champion. British? European? Or dare he think it, a world champ? To whet his appetite, after years of running the business by hook or by crook, the American heavyweight champion of the world hires the gym to train for the defence of his title. Its a dream come true for Solly and with his newfound prospect in Owen and the gyms fortunes on the up, what could possibly go wrong?
