In doing so, various laws (both international and local) have been enacted to regulate the copyright regime.With the invention of Information and Digital Technologies, the protection of copyright is being threatened as digital technologies make protected works readily accessible and communicable. This creates a scenario where the conventional and outmoded mechanisms for copyright protection are constantly struggling to catch up with the rapidly evolving environment.This paper shall identify the various technological innovations which pose a threat to the protection of the creators right and examine how the copyright community has responded to such threats.
