Clives High Flying Poems

Clives High Flying Poems is a collection of thought provoking and imaginative poetry that takes the reader on a magical journey. It starts gently with traditional English verse exploring chocolate box villages before gradually and surprisingly tackling more controversial subject matter like obesity, HS2, the environment and politicians shortcomings. The poem Ghost Town gives us an eerie feeling of desolation of a town torn apart by war. Without getting too serious though, it is also laced with delicate love poems which explore new love and lost love. The poem Your, Soldier Boy about a lover lost in WWII will bring a tear to the eye and September Time will bring a smile of warm reminiscence, but you are soon brought back down to earth with the humorous The Crocodile Hunter who demonstrates the art of crocodile wrestling.Enjoy this varied collection and explore the journey.
