"James Herriot meets Driving over Lemons"
If Joe and Vicky had known what relocating to a tiny mountain village in Andalucيa would REALLY be like, they might have hesitated... They have no idea of the culture shock in store. No idea theyll become reluctant chicken farmers and own the most dangerous cockerel in Spain. No idea theyll help capture a vulture or be rescued by a mule.
Will they stay, or return to the relative sanity of England?
Includes Spanish recipes donated by the village ladies and a link to a free accompanying photo book.

The Telegraph -- "a colourful glimpse of Andalucيan life. And a psychopathic chicken or two...charming...funny"
The Catalunya Chronicle -- "Weeks later, you will be standing at your kitchen window doing the dishes and recall some fleeting scene with chickens or mules or two old fools and laugh out loud all over again."
HarperCollins -- laugh-out-loud funny...especially the Spanish women heckling over eggs from the English...hilarious...engaging...the interspersion of recipes is charming
Aleck Loker, author -- This is wonderful. I have tears in my eyes...the humor, the warmth, the joy...I love this book...the two of you sitting on the sofa in that dusty street listening to Spanish tunes on the crackly radio. What a sight you must have been...
Danny Gillan, author of Will You Love Me Tomorrow -- I love the relaxed writing style and easy humour of this. Great stuff!
Robin Bayley, author of The Mango Orchard -- Victoria Twead is a natural storyteller with a knack for charm and wit.
