Amidst this landscape of peril, they must also contend with ruthless human adversaries lurking in the shadows, ready to exploit any weakness. Their journey becomes a crucible of survival, where courage and resilience are their only weapons against the encroaching darkness.

Among their challenges is Lawrence County Sheriff Max Daniels, whose outwardly pleasant demeanor belies a steely resolve to maintain absolute control over his territory. While he presents himself as a benevolent protector, Daniels harbors a ruthless streak toward those who dare challenge his vision for security. His relentless mission: transform the idyllic streets of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, into a fortified bastion where outsiders and dissenters are met with uncompromising force. As he tightens his grip on power within the towns makeshift walls, Daniels becomes an increasingly formidable obstacle for our protagonists, testing their principles and forcing them to confront the true extent of his tyranny.
