Patreece, a 24-year-old dental hygienist in Corpus Christi, TX, is single and not happy about it. True, not all her friends were married, but many had significant others, and her best friend is planning her summer wedding.
While in an antique store, she finds a diary. She reads the diary over the course of the summer. The young woman writing the diary has much in common with Patreece, even though she was young in the 1950s.
