AGROECOLOGY

This research gathers most of the works of the outstanding agroecologist Miguel Angel Altieri, who has published books continuously over the last twenty years. The research addresses in a practical way the importance and social role of the agroecologist in strengthening the discipline, in a joint and orderly manner; the scope of topics that have been addressed in this research is broad. However, it will not be difficult for the reader to understand, as there is a clear denominator: the importance of the agroecologist in the whole research process; indeed, most of the study revolves around the innate capacity of the agroecologist to be able to understand the conceptions and the transmitting action of knowledge, ideologies, characteristics and local knowledge that are determined by his collaborative capacity, which consists of cultivating agroecology studies framed in the social role.
