About this Product
William Turton, known most of his life as Bill was born in 1929 in Upper Denby in the borough of Kirklees West Yorkshire. As a young man he was called to National Service in Aiden. On his return he lived around South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, with a brief period in Australia. Bill finally settled down in the Lakelands of Cumbria. He ran the Post Office in Burneside village for a number of years with his wife Patricia. He co-founded the Burneside Brass Band which is performing to this day. Bill loves to tell stories about his experiences abroad and at home. His insight into human nature and the natural world is revealed through this delightful collection of poems. You can read more about Bill Turton in his life story called Nappies to Nappies also available through Amazon.
