A Bang on the Head

Rob Lennard wakes up in a hospital bed. It is the year 2019, but Rob is convinced it is 1979. The last thing he remembers is getting ready to meet his girlfriend Kate, but now he is married to Julie who is in her late fifties and can talk to their son face to face on a device that resembles the communicators in Star Trek. He has suffered mild concussion after a garden accident, but doctors are unable to explain the loss of forty years of memories and do not offer any treatment.
The world outside of the hospital is like science fiction to him - Satnavs; phones that can take high quality photographs without film; the internet; satellite television; cars with cameras. Even peoples attitudes have changed. His wife warns him of words that are no longer acceptable and he struggles with mundane activities and conversations.

To make matters worse, he doesnt even live in Norfolk anymore. His wife and family seek to find experiences that will jog his memory and restore him to his old self, but nothing seems to work.
