The Mystic Ladder

The book is a brief introduction to Sufi mystical system, which has been practiced during centuries in Persia and its neighboring countries. The mentioned principles are elicited from Sufi literature that exist in Persian language. What is mainly stressed in this book is the fact that Sufism is not an ideology but a path, which leads to the discovery of mysteries of existence. It is a search within, not without. As the inner wisdom reveals, everything else fades away but the truth. It is the direct realization of our divine nature beyond words and interpretations. What Sufism offers is barely achievable through reasoning, as it is above thought and idea. Generally viewed, mystical systems are more about ""unlearning"" the theories and beliefs rather than learning then, for the seeker himself/ herself is what he/ she looks for, outwardly. Sufism suggests the pursuit of principles, which facilitate the path toward self-realization. These principles, which include concepts such as selflessness, silence, surrendering, service, meditation and many other disciplines, are discussed under separate titles with reference to prominent Sufis.
