Our story begins on the morning after he and Darcy arrive at Rosings Park. Where they run into Miss Elizabeth Bennet. And the Colonel has his famous walk with Miss Bennet. And Darcys proposal is rejected.Time passes and imagine the colonels surprise when Darcy writes him to say he is to marry Elizabeth Bennet! He attends the wedding but storm clouds soon appear and he is soon on the continent and then injured grievously in the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815.
This is the story of his slow, partial recovery and his evolving attachment to Miss Catherine Bennet. And Georgiana Darcy attachment to one of the Colonels colleagues, a new character named Michael Groeper.
