New paths for music education

In this book, Marquinho Aniceto presents aspects related to learning the instrument, the current music market, the absence of music in Brazilian schools, private instrument lessons, self-learning, personal repertoire, instrument pedagogy, teacher didactics, looking more specifically at professional and amateur musicians. The book aims to reflect on the processes that characterise musical learning, taking into account the educational and cultural dimensions that underpin the training of students and also reflecting on aspects related to music education in its insertion into different classroom contexts at the present time. As a musician and music educator, I believe that the personal fulfilment of playing an instrument and expressing oneself through it goes beyond any methodology. I realise, value and believe in expression through the instrument in various musical styles and genres (Marquinho Aniceto).
