Wireless Quality of Service: Techniques

This volume systematically addresses the QoS issues found in many types of popular wireless networks, including LANs, PANs, MANs, 3G, mobile ad hoc, sensor, and heterogeneous. It introduces the fundamental concepts of QoS provisioning and presents various techniques, such as a Markov chain model and a distributed admission control mechanism, to combat QoS problems that include performance impairments in WLAN hotspots, video streaming applications, and broadband wireless access.
