As Erica and Seth get on with life after a bizarre and troubling beginning, more comes their way, promising to push them to the limit. They enlist the help of people from Ericas past, hoping to shake loose meaning from her mothers deranged writings and a slew of artwork that points to enigmatic rituals and Ericas true origins.
New allies are acquired and loved ones of the past prove to hold the answers to troubling questions, all working toward an end that will be anything but easy. Erica does her best to hold tight to the promise that Seth will come after her and hopefully, finally, be done with the lunacy of their heritages and find a way to live in peace, but that might be too much to ask.
