When a good friends brother is murdered at the friends restaurant, private detective Tony Victor promises the family he will find out who did it and why. In order to accomplish the task Tony must cooperate with his former employer, the Parsonsville Police Department, where the relationship is not the best.
Tony experiences difficulty staying focused on the case by the grief he continues to experience over the untimely death of his wife and the upcoming parole hearing for the man who caused her death. Further complicating matters are his sudden romantic feelings for his friends sister. Tony is on an emotional roller coaster and is involved in a murder case that first appears as a simple robbery but reaches far beyond Parsonsville and his friends Italian restaurant.
With many twists and turns, threats and intimidation, fear and anger, will it lead to the death of another member of the family?
