The Puritan

A satire of contemporary American life set in the fictional city of Jansonville. Edward Dare is a curiously-wealthy Civics teacher at a private high school, where he also moonlights as an I.T. Liaison. One day, Ed notices a student he simply doesnt recognize-a transfer student. This "intrusion" quietly begins to unfold Eds many daily routines around this newest offhand obsession: He must block the social advance of this hapless teenage "outsider." Ed imagines hes smoothing Jansonvilles civil fabric; but his ruthless back-channel chicanery makes for a compelling counter to the image hes cultivated around the community.
