The book aims to explain the interests and challenges of the industrys digitization through the use of the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, and virtual networks to control physical objects. It focuses on the major trends induced by digital technology, and the transformation of the industry by digital technology and its impact on the economy more broadly, and on the economy of the industry more specifically.
