Social Structure and Personality in the Factory

This study, first published in 1958, explores the behaviour of industrial workers in a social context. By interviewing and observing workers in factories in Melbourne, the author examines the workers evaluation of work, work satisfaction, relationships and friendships within the workplace, and the workers place in society.
