The well-oiled and efficient Adammite machine is not something that admits defeat and runs off after a setback or two. It simply regroups and moves on. When you worship something that is pure evil and that god walks among you, you dont just give up, you know you are the Chosen.
Just how do you combat something that can only be described as the essence of evil? It ... or he ...stalks Meredrynn relentlessly. The Adammites worship him, but does he care? Naturally not, his wish is merely to punish them for the losses incurred by the Shield.
He, who exists outside of time, simply desires an end of all life in Meredrynn and the Adammites are a useful method of disposal. Yet, they have displeased him and punishment is due, even to his followers.
If there is any possibility of overcoming this evil, the White Shield, or Nimranduel , must seek Anaïs, Ambers sister, the Weaver of Time. She disappeared some years previously when Amber freed her from the cruel Alderfolk, her current whereabouts: unknown.
The Company of the Shield must gather their forces, hitch up their courage and continue their journey to save Meredrynn from annihilation.
