This the fourth of Valerie Hansards books to be published by Grosvenor House Publishing within the last three years. The first was a book of short stories, followed by two novels: Knockramore and The Quarry.
On Veritys Account is set mainly in Wanstead, East London. Verity Davis, the principal character, is approaching her eightieth birthday. But before this important celebration Verity has to surmount several problems, including those concerning her family. Knowing that she is extremely wealthy, her family frequently asks her for interest- free loans. "Lets put it on Veritys Account" is a well-worn phrase.
