My Sweet French Summer

If only summer could last forever...

Fleeing pain and misery, Rissa Young quits her job as a journalist, leaves her Philadelphia apartment behind, and goes backpacking in Europe. Her streak of bad luck follows her to France when she falls victim to a con game. Destitute and alone, Rissa is befriended by Frankie, a young girl who convinces her to stay with her family in the charming coastal town of Perpignan.

Wealthy boat-builder Evan Maynard allows her to stay...but only grudgingly. Hes convinced that the woman his sister has brought into their luxurious home is just another of the hangers-on and opportunists Frankie always attracts.

Once he realizes that Rissa is neither, he concocts a plan to help his sister through the rebellious phase shes been stuck in since their parents tragic disappearance. The plan seems to work-until Frankies impulsive nature triggers a frantic search all the way to Barcelona, where Rissa and Evan must risk everything that matters to save her.

The journey is long and fraught with emotion, but on the way they just might discover the true meaning of love and loss.
