My Life and Other Misadventures

A collection of humorous and poignant nostalgic reminiscences covering Alans early years through school in the war years through to national service. Along the way we are introduced to some of the eccentric relatives of the graduate historian and linguist. Always, Alan looks askance at the society of the day with a wry, knowing, smile.
