Helen Campbell was a keen, enthusiastic reporter in training at the time of her Scottish grandmothers death, therefore, it came as a great shock at the reading of Mairie Campbells will, which demanded that Helen severed all ties with her settled, organised life in London and went to live for six months in a remote Highland village which struggled to keep up with the times. No-one could understand the mysterious motives behind the conditions of the will, which included twelve inexplicable tasks, to be carried out at certain intervals by various different persons?

Set in Scotland on the first cusp of the 1980s, this is a passionate tale of family history, pain and despair and the fight for a love, which came too late ...
