Kants Inferentialism: The Case Against Hume

This book examines Kants Critique of Pure Reason as presenting a sophisticated inferentialist theory of mental representation and places the work in its proper historical and philosophical context as a response to Humes Treatise of Human Nature. Landy argues that Humes theory of mental representation is far more radical than previously taken to believe, and in this way serves as the strongest possible foil to Kant.
