I Say No by Wilkie Collins is a novel first published in 1884. It features a young orphan, Emily Brown, who is courted by two eligible bachelors: Alban Morris, the drawing master at her school, and a clergyman, Miles Mirabel. Both claim to love her, but only one is telling the truth . . . and the other may be implicated in the suspicious death of her father.
