The main thrust of this book centres on the groups metamorphasis from boys to men. It explores their escapades while on shore; the sacrifice of their beloved football /cricket - difficult on an ocean liner i know! - in favour of other past times (women and alcohol), culminating in a "mrs robinson" moment.
