Comic Con is coming to Lakeside, and Theo Tanner and his friends couldnt be more excited. This years convention promises to be the biggest yet, featuring an appearance by famed comic book author Ronan Blaine. As well, an auction of some vintage comics to help the local medical centre get some much needed equipment for their childrens department is in the works. But when the comics mysteriously vanish just days before the event, the entire convention hangs in the balance.

With Comic Con on the verge of cancellation and the whole towns reputation at stake, Theo finds himself juggling more than just missing comics. A troublemaking new student seems determined to thwart his every move, creating problems both at school and during his investigation.
