Saving the world is easy for a superhero--unless youre a fraud.

Jo Tanis is a hero in name only. She might have superpowers, but shes under the thumb of the Agency who controls all the supers around the world, setting up fake fights to entertain the public. With her Guardian Mike, shes forced to live a life thats not hers... until one day when an alien ship arrives.

In the ensuing chaos, almost all of the front-line supers are killed, unable to use their skills effectively after years of play-fighting and pretend-wins. Jo escapes, but shes living on borrowed time, thanks to the Agencys hold on her life. Gathering a team of survivors around her, shes determined to save not only her life but the rest of the world--if they can all step up and become the heroes they need to be.

But no one, hero or villain, saves the world without a sacrifice...
