So my draft sits quietly unfinished three years later. In late 2021, I ran across a challenge to write one poem every day for 21 days. Little did I know what I would uncover, process and heal. In this small collection of unpolished poems youll walk with me through my various states of raw emotional healing. I share how the journey isnt linear and explore the darkest depths of human engagement only to find that there is love and beauty in not getting it perfect. If nothing else, this book is my catalyst of whats to come. Its the first bite of the elephant. I hope it is the lighthouse shining through the dark to others on their own journey- but if its only purpose is to teach me that my dreams only sit on the sidelines if I do, well, Im good with that too.""
